This retreat will focus on contemplative practices, including Centering Prayer, mindful breathing, walking meditation, with a focus on how breathing assists this meditation, lectio divina, labyrinth and healing sound meditation.
Lunch, snacks, and one-on-one Spiritual Care sessions are included.

Gene Fraser Gene is a longtime student of Thomas Keating and Cynthia Bougeault and has practiced Centering Prayer for more than 25 years. He has been commissioned as a Centering Prayer presenter by Contemplative Outreach International and is a member of Christ Church Cathedral, Vancouver. Prior to returning to Christianity, Gene practiced in other spiritual traditions and has received lay ordination in Zen Buddhism. Gene has a PhD in Mental Health Law and is committed to balancing contemplative practice with action in social justice programs for disadvantaged members of the community.
Maria Koehn Maria will bring her singing bowls and offer us a time of sound meditation. Maria says, "My passion for sound healing is holding space for sacred spiritual experiences for people who participate. It's always my intention for people to experience God through the sessions." Maria is a certified sound healer working with individuals and groups to reduce stress and anxiety.
Lorie Martin Lorie is the vicar at St. Thomas Anglican church in Chilliwack, a spiritual director, and retreat leader. Lorie is committed to the journey of love and healing. She highly values contemplative practice, creating sacred spaces, and gathering together in community to experience God in life-growing ways. Lorie is the inter-parish director of The Centre for Spiritual Renewal, and she on the Board of Directors for The Contemplative Society (Cynthia Bourgeault).
