Please watch for the coming date. \nThis reflective and participatory sess ion explores grief\, anger\, and joy as three emotional realities of colle ctive liminality. Through short teachings\, embodied reflection\, and conv ersation\, participants will consider how these realities are experienced through the head\, heart\, and body\, both individually and collectively.\ nThe afternoon will deepen this exploration through integrative arts pract ices\, including watercolour painting\, mandala-making\, and other creativ e invitations. No artistic experience is needed. The emphasis is not on pr oducing finished artwork\, but on using creativity as a way of listening\, expressing\, and making space for what may be difficult to hold in words alone.\nTogether\, we will explore how spiritual and creative practices ca n help us recognize\, give space to\, and remain present with the emotiona l life of our communities. Drawing on more than two decades of experience in emergency\, ICU\, palliative\, hospice\, and long-term care\, she brings a grounded curiosity to how people and communi ties live through uncertainty\, loss\, and transformation. Her approach is shaped by non-dual awareness\, trauma-informed care\, interfaith spiritua lity\, contemplative practice\, family life\, and the ongoing work of lear ning how to be present in relationship. She is passionate about creating p ractices and spaces that help people remain present\, connected\, and comp assionate within collective liminality. Having recently completed a Master ’s in Public and Pastoral Leadership with a specialization in spiritual care\, Carrie is grateful to be living\, learning\, and working out the be ing and doing of all this thinking on the beautiful Stó:lō lands current ly called Chilliwack.\nHerta:  My artistic journey began in my mid-40’s when I least believed that taking time to create was a worthwhile use of my time and attention and yet\, I was captured by the expression that wate rcolours allowed and the depth of fulfillment that resonated deeply within . Since that time\, nature has become my open air cathedral and inspires my creativity daily. I paint in watercolours and acrylics\, am mostly self taught\, and love sharing the potential of creativity within each of us i n workshop settings.
